How to rock green eyeshadow.

We can’t quite be sure who made the trend a trend (Kendall Jenner or David Beckham?), but one thing is for sure, green eyeshadow is this season’s hottest eye makeup colour. Whether you’re going all in and matching your eyeshadow to your green outfit or just adding a pop of colour to your all-black ensemble, we suggest you take full advantage of this tropical-esque trend. Lifestyle and beauty blogger, Candice Sandler of Natalya Amour agrees. “Green eyeshadow is a fresh, earthy colour that you can rock in any season. It’s a trend that has made a major comeback from the ’80s when women were making serious waves in shocking green eyeshadow. This season, the most popular greens are less exaggerated and more refined and wearable for any occasion,” says Candice. “Green eyeshadow is a fresh, earthy colour that you can rock in any season. Green comes in a range of different shades, and if you’re not used to wearing colour on your eyes, you may feel a bit lost. “Dramatic greens work best for brown- or dark-eyed women,” Candice advises. “However, more subtle greens can work for any eye colour. Don’t be afraid to play around with the different shades and see what works best for you. Green works great with plums and deep browns – layer green with these shades and the results can be magical.”

How celebs rock it
  • Issa Rae wore green eyeshadow above her crease for a dramatic take on this eye-catching colour. She paired it with a navy-blue, spaghetti-strapped dress featuring floral print. Beautiful.
  • Mila Kunis made an appearance on The Tonight Show wearing a pin-striped suit and emerald green eyeshadow that made her outfit pop.
  • Lala Anthony stepped out in all-green, wearing metallic eyeshadow on her lids as well as under her eye, with a silky ensemble. Stunning.
